New version released of ComLink's GSM/GPRS modem with alarm inputs and output!
The MultiModem is a GSM-modem for industrial use, delivered in a robust aluminium casing for DIN mounting. The unit has 2 inputs which send SMS when triggered. It also has a grounding output for remote control of connected equipment.
- Broad voltage range, 9-28V AC/DC - Full port serial port, works like a regular modem - 2 alarm inputs (4-28V DC), can send up to 4 SMS - 1 grounding output activated by SMS or phone call - Microprocessor controlled to ensure reliability - Broad field of application - Easy to operate - Individual alarm messages, (max. 160 characters) - Alarm could be sent to a mobile and/or security company - Easy configuration with accompanying PC-programme
MultiModem V3 - new features:
- Input functions: activation delay or block time - Alarm call to the SMS recipients - SMS can be sent and received during a connected data call - SMS acknowledgement when activating the output by a call - Improved configuration possibilities via SMS - New modem core, Tri band GSM, GPRS class 10
The MultiModem V3 is controlled by calling or sending SMS to the unit. The incoming calls/SMS respectively data calls can be monitored by access list functions to see if the incoming number is authorised to control or connect to the MultiModem.
The modem is controlled by standard AT commands and the unit will restart the GSM-module at set intervals to ensure maximum reliability.
Modem:
The modem is Tri Band GSM/GPRS, utilising the data number of the GSM subscription. The RS232 serial port is used for data communication as well as for configuring the unit. If activated, only numbers in the data access list will be able to communicate with the modem.
Inputs:
The unit has two inputs which each can send two user-defined text messages to two different recipients when triggered; (e.g. to an alarm centre and to a site manager).
The inputs can be connected to sensors with closing function (N/O) and breaking function (N/C).
The MultiModem is able to send SMS when a current (4-28V DC) is applied (the input "goes high") as well as when the current disappears (the input "goes low").
Output:
The MultiModem V3 is equipped with a grounding output (max. 100mA) for remote control of connected equipment. The output is activated by sending a SMS to the unit. The activation time is stated in the message, either in seconds or as ON/OFF. The output can also be activated by a free call to the unit.
Configuring:
All settings in the unit are easily made in the PC-programme MultiModem V3 Config Tool which can be ordered free of charge.
Contact ComLink for more information.
Accessories:
The MultiModem V3 can be equipped with an internal battery back-up; the unit is then able to send alarms if the external power (230V) disappears and when it returns. It is also possible to equip the grounding output with an external relaly cabling (N/O - N/C).
